Motorola Edge 2026 Shown in Renders, Complete with a Flat Display and a Triple Camera Setup

More expected for release in the coming weeks is the all new Edge 2026 from Motorola and it would seem the design is out there ahead of the actual launch. There has been nothing confirmed from Motorola yet but we now get our first proper look at the device and, based on the leaks, here’s what to expect.

As you can see the Motorola Edge 2026 comes in olive green paired with what looks like a texture on the backpanel making it far more premium and tangible than a standard gloss finish. While the general design language is familiar from the previous generations, which suggests Motorola are taking an evolution rather than revolution approach this year but we have had the chance to identify some key refinements.

Firstly and most crucially for many, the display. We no longer have a curve on the sides, unlike the Edge 2025 and Motorola will now be featuring a completely flat panel here. As mentioned it is something we believe a number of users have been asking for since flat panels make using screen protectors and making calls so much easier, in theory anyway! With a clean all round modern feel it also looks set to be an advantage and to compete directly with some of its competitors this is not a criticism on Motorola.

On the rear the camera design is not exactly new to us with Motorola making a recognizable style and the images show that this has to be a triple camera arrangement continuing a trend we see from mid to premium devices. While a definite triple camera we haven’t yet had any specs from Motorola so it is difficult to tell whether we are going to get the high megapixel sensor coupled with a telephoto lens or just wide, ultra-wide and a macro shot but we are hoping to find out soon.

Secondly you will see an extra button is featured on the left hand side of the device and again Motorola are not confirmed as to what it will actually do but speculation leads me to believe that it will feature either a dedicated AI button, or a shortcut for whatever you need. This feature of additional buttons on sides of handsets has started to spread throughout many manufacturers now so it isn’t an unusual move at all and on the opposite side of the handset we still have the standard volume rocker and power button.

From this image there is nothing else to confirm so we still do not know about many key specifications on the Motorola Edge 2026 and that includes the chipset being used, the battery capacity, RAM/storage options and the features available via the latest operating system, though expect Motorola to announce more as the actual launch approaches.

Overall the Motorola Edge 2026 looks like it has taken a number of step forward from its predecessor and many users will be pleased about the introduction of a flat display.
