Even if the Bianconeri are not able to reach Champions League qualification this season, Luciano Spalletti is going to stay at Juventus and it appears that the main targets of the Italian manager in the upcoming summer transfer market begin to take shape, offering us a clearer vision of the aims of the club for the 2026/27 season.
The Juventus manager Spalletti is scheduled to have an important meeting with club owner John Elkann on Monday, after the end of the 2025/26 Serie A season, a meeting that is believed to be decisive to define the future and the way forward for the Bianconeri. Spalletti signed an extension to his contract until 2028 in April and Gazzetta dello Sport reveals that even if the Old Lady doesn’t qualify for the Champions League next season, the Italian manager will remain at the helm of the club.
However, the situation in the internal structure of the club seems a bit complicated; it is still to see whether the Bianconeri will make changes to the club structure in the next few weeks, given also that Spalletti and the executive director Damien Comolli are not exactly on the same side when it comes to transfer market and future direction for the squad. Spalletti is not unaware that absence from Champions League means also less funds to spend in the transfer market but he hopes that he will be able to bring to Turin various reinforcements for the 2026/27 season and that these players will be able to guide Juventus to higher level.
The focus will certainly be on Monday’s meeting with Elkann and only then the direction for the future will be cleared out.
